People say that 'there is no place like home'. Well, I say there is no place like this Home. Abbotsleigh Care Home is what I dreamed of when looking for a safe, comfortable and caring place for my mum to end her days. I simply cannot thank the staff enough for the care she received during her 18-month stay. Every member of staff, whatever their role, gave their absolute all every single day – activities were stimulating and often tailored to the individual. My family was always treated kindly, and comfort and reassurance were always present. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the dedication and professionalism of the staff.

My wife spent eleven months at Bromley Park Care Home. Throughout, I was always impressed with the care provided to all residents. I visited three times a week at random times and I only have positive thoughts about the care shown to every resident.

My dad has gone to Loose Valley for respite care and I have been very impressed by how the team has worked so hard to make him welcome. The care Lukestone Care Home residents receive for their diverse needs is excellent. My husband required nursing care and every member of staff, the nurses and especially the Manager welcomed him with compassion. The care I received was excellent and I was updated on his well-being every day. During his short stay he enjoyed the socialising, was expertly nursed, cared for and finally passed away with dignity and at peace. I will be eternally grateful to everybody who made this possible. Mum has been at Lulworth House since the summer of 2023. At first, she went in for respite care but settled in so well that she is now a permanent resident. We picked Lulworth, as from the first conversation through to mum's arrival, the team were kind and thoughtful to her needs, and she loved the room that she was staying in. I am always made to feel welcome by the team when I visit. I can come and go as I wish, and mum always seems to be happy and involved in an activity. Not only has she settled in, but is thriving with the additional stimulus. Mum has always loved cooking and home-cooked food which was part of our decision to pick Lulworth. She really enjoys the food and also the cooking activities. It's nice to join her for some of these activities, quizzes etc, so we can spend quality time together. I feel that she is well cared for, safe and happy. Thank you all for the care you have given her so far.

So very happy with Meyer House. The staff are lovely and my mum is very happy. The activities are great, so much care and thought goes into them and the staff encourage participation and make it fun.

My father stayed for respite for five weeks after being in and out of hospital many times over the last six months. The care and attention he received from all staff in the care home was second-to-none. Excellent care from the nursing team, very friendly and polite. Clothes were regularly washed and the Home was fresh and tidy. He is doing so well and much stronger since his stay. He was wheeled in a wheelchair and walked out with the aid of a frame.

I cannot recommend Silverpoint Court enough, from the management to the chef to carers and care helpers, all are very happy and pleasant and understanding of people's needs. The food is excellent with many choices. The whole care home is spotlessly clean and well-kept. Everyone is very accommodating and pleasant.

Very pleased with the care and attention given to my mum by all the wonderful staff at Sonya Lodge. Mum settled into the Home very quickly. She was given a lovely room overlooking the garden and is very happy there. They organise lots of brilliant activities for the residents which I’ve also enjoyed taking part in. As a relative of a resident, I’ve always been made to feel very welcome and am kept up-to-date with my mum’s care. They provide excellent food which mum enjoys and I am always asked if I want to stay and eat with her. All the staff treat my soon-to-be 97-year-old mum with the utmost care and respect and my family is so happy that she is spending her final years in a happy, caring environment. My brother was transferred from a hospice to St Winifreds for end-of-life care. It was his wish to go there and they looked after his needs/problems extremely well. He was happy and comfortable and was grateful to all the staff for looking after him. Having spent respite care at The Old Downs I feel fortunate my husband was accepted to remain in residential Alzheimer's care. He settled in so well and this is due to the ambience of the Home, the professional care he receives and all the staff who go above and beyond to socialise with every resident. I am always made so welcome when I visit my husband and when we sit together in the conservatory or weather permitting the garden overlooking the downs, we both feel content. My mother has been in the Care Home for just over a year. You cannot fault the friendliness, standard of care and support given by all of the staff to the residents and family members. My mum enjoys the meals, but especially the cups of tea. She is settled and well looked after.
